I just love perusing the Ambrosia Fashion Crew's Facebook page as it allows me to see who the hottest designers are in Second Life. Today, I came across Indyra Seigo of Indyra Originals. After browsing through the in-world store, I settled on the "Cyprian Caftan". The "Cyprian Caftan" is a short, tight and white caftan that comes in five colors of embroidery - relic, poppy, noir, jade, and cobalt.

A caftan (or kaftan) is often defined as an overdress with long sleeves. In her article "The Modern Kaftan", Anna Skibinsky notes that "fashion legend Yves St. Laurent made the kaftan an elite garment by putting finely patterned and embroidered versions on swank models". Second Life designer Indyra Seigo takes her cue from St. Laurent by adding very detailed designs to her caftans. However, Indyra imparts her own style onto the caftan with the addition of a tight fit and wide plunging neckline - a white bikini top comes with the dress to cover up those private areas. Indyra also makes use of popular 2013 Spring/Summer colors, namely moroccan blue, poppy red, and emerald. I really liked this design, the dress paired with some white heels, light make-up, and volumized hair projects a very fresh, sexy and unique look. In my opinion, Indyra also did a great naming her caftan as Cyprian relates to the ancient worship of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. And that's pretty close to how you'll feel when you put this dress on!
